The Wheels Come Off

Recently a former campaign chairman for Bush since the Texas campaigns has rebuffed the President and said he was very disappointed with the way things have gone. "Bush has not handled a number of issues with good judgment and his stand on the war is way out of synch with the majority of the electorate."

Sid Blumenthal has some unkind things to say about Dowd. His mea culpa is suspect in as much as he sounds more self serving than contrite. Hey politics is a rough business. Don't count on your friends being friends forever.

Hugh Cockburn has written a book about the Rise and Fall (Disgrace) of Don Rumsfeld.
Nixon called him a disagreeable little bastard. Douglas Feith is called a stupid son-of-a-bitch. General Meyers, former Ch. of Staff was known as a bootlicker. That is how you get promoted in the Army. Wolfowitz, Pearle, and Chalabi were the chief proponents of the Iraq war. It was all based on false information.

Like global warming, there are disagreements about everything. Evidence however piles up for one side or the other. The legislature is showing signs of life but will it overplay its hand? It is downright painful to hear the President mouth the same tired litany that he's used the past five years--- with no evidence that he sees the disaster he has created. It truly is a mental problem for him and for us.
